Ukraine president Zelensky says ‘Putin will d!e soon’ and vows ‘it will come to an end’

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has asserted that Vladimir Putin is ‘likely to pass away soon,’ amid unverified reports suggesting the Russian leader is experiencing health difficulties.

Zelensky made this statement during an interview with journalists in Paris, which followed his meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron yesterday. He remarked, “He (Putin) will pass away soon, and that’s a reality; it will eventually come to an end.” Speculation about Putin’s health has persisted for years.

The 72-year-old leader has exhibited signs that have fueled these rumors, such as a swollen face, a twitching leg, and bloodshot eyes. A particularly notable incident occurred in 2022 when he was seen slouched in his chair, gripping a table, and slurring his speech during a discussion with former Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu.

There are also allegations regarding potential illnesses like cancer and Parkinson’s Disease, alongside reports of him having frequent coughing fits and experiencing involuntary movements in his hands and feet.

In the same interview, Zelensky suggested that Putin is attempting to undermine the European Union from within, referencing pro-Russian elements within the bloc, including Hungary.
