Two young men tragically lost their lives when a stray cow suddenly emerged from the bush and crashed into their motorcycle along the Ile-Oluji-Ondo Itanla road in Ondo State.
The incident occurred around 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2025, as the victims were riding a motorcycle, commonly known as a “Lady’s Bike,” while transporting a bag of cocoa from Ile-Oluji to Ondo City.
An eyewitness told Hope Newspaper, a publication owned by the Ondo State Government, that the cow dashed out of the bush, colliding with the motorcycle and instantly k!lling both men.
According to the source, the herder, believed to be a Fulani man, fled into the bush with his cattle immediately after the accident.
Passersby reportedly hesitated to intervene, fearing potential consequences from authorities.
As of now, the identities of the deceased have not been confirmed.
