In a viral video circulating on social media, the man, who was shopping at a supermarket in the Isheri area of Lagos, was asked to pay N30 for a nylon bag after spending N11,000 on items.

Frustrated by the charge, he loudly expressed his displeasure to the supermarket staff. In another clip, he argued that if supermarkets continue this practice, market women, chemists, and other business owners should also start charging for nylon bags.

 

He claimed that such actions contribute to systemic issues in Nigeria, comparing it to how real estate agents began exploiting house seekers. He warned that if unchecked, supermarkets might eventually charge as much as N200 for a single nylon bag.
