Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali is set to leave Chippa United this summer

Chippa United is reportedly set to sell Nigerian goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali at the end of the current season.

According to *Kickoff*, the club aims to strengthen its squad this summer and sees Nwabali’s sale as a key move to achieving that goal.

The 28-year-old joined Chippa United three years ago from Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) side Katsina United and has since established himself as one of the top goalkeepers in the South African league.

Reports indicate that Chippa United has already shortlisted two goalkeepers as potential replacements for the Nigeria international.

Last summer, Nwabali was heavily linked with a transfer following his standout performances for the Super Eagles at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire, where Nigeria finished as runners-up.

However, instead of making a move to Europe, he opted to extend his stay at Chippa United by signing a new three-year contract and was subsequently named the club’s captain.
