Rapper clears court battle: Seani ‘Diddy’ Combs won one of many lawsuits filed recently against him.
A judge has dismissed most of the claims against the 55-year old music mogul in a lawsuit brought by music producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones.
According to documents obtained by TMZ the judge dismissed five of the nine allegations Jones made against Diddy who recently took the baffling decision to work with Kanye.
RICO claims were also made, along with allegations of emotional distress or breach of contract.
Diddy has denied all the allegations in recent lawsuits brought against him. He has also denied any federal charges that were filed against Diddy last year.
Attorney Shawn Holley told the publication that ‘Lil Rod’ is nothing but a liar, who filed a $30-billion lawsuit in order to get an undeserved payout.
Jones also claimed that Combs Global, the company of I’ll Be Missing You’s rapper, was responsible for Jones’s claim.

The judge dismissed his claim that the company had violated the Trafficking Victims Protection Act.
The Jones lawsuit against Diddy may still be alive but it is on uncertain ground after the judge also criticized the producer’s lawyer.
Tyrone A. Blackburn was called out by the judge for allegedly not submitting documents that were up to par.
Blackburn was criticized for acting as if Diddy was not entitled to a presumption innocence in a federal case where he is facing charges of sPSx, racketeering and other crimes.
The judge seemed to give Blackburn the benefit-of-the doubt, stating that he didn’t realize the defendant is presumed innocent until found guilty.
In February 2024 Jones filed a lawsuit against Diddy, alleging groping, and a possible drug induced rape. The suit was filed only weeks before federal agents raided two of Combs’ homes in connection with a sPSx investigation.
In April last year, Combs’ legal team attempted to cast doubt on Jones’ credibility by revealing the accuser’s past interactions with criminal justice.
Combs’ lawyers pointed out that Jones had been convicted in 2003 of reckless homicide and that he was also charged with multiple assaults that were later dropped.
Jones’ attorney Tyrone Blackburn responded to Page Six’s assault allegations by reminding them that a charge was not a conviction.
Then, he explained that Jones had accidentally “totaled” a car as he was driving and tragically killed his cousin, who was sitting next to him.
Page Six obtained court documents that indicated Jones was charged with a misdemeanor charge of sexual assault in 2006. This was followed by charges of domestic assault in 2009 and 2014. However, all charges were dismissed.
Blackburn, when confronted with information regarding the assault cases said: “I’m sure you know that an accusation is not a conviction.”
Blackburn stated: “Mr. Jones was 17 when he committed the reckless homicide in July 2003.
Jones’ lawyer continued: “He was driving with his cousin on the passenger side. He was pulled over by the police, but because he was scared, he drove away. When the police pulled him over, it was a pretty common behavior for a black teenager in Chicago. He totaled his vehicle and his cousin who was his closest friend died.
Blackburn said that Jones had pleaded guilty because he was not provided with ‘adequate representation’. He also stated that his client would have to live the rest of his lives with the guilt that he killed his family member and best friend.
