6Police officers arrested for robberies: Four suspects, including two police officers, have been arrested in connection with “blue light” robberies, involving truck hijackings and carjackings in Kempton Park, Gauteng.
The arrests followed an intelligence-led operation that linked the officers to the crimes. Police spokesperson Col. Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi confirmed that the officers were summoned for questioning, leading authorities to two additional civilian susplements within its ranks.

“It is disheartening to see those who should enforce the law collaborating with c terrorize communities. This arrest should serve as a strong warning to the few bad apples in the service that the long arm of the law will catch up with them,” Mthombeni said.
