NYSC confirms corps members will be paid N77,000 monthly allowance from March 2025

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has pledged an increase in the monthly stipend for Corps Members, set to rise to ₦77,000 starting March 2025.

During a recent interactive session, Brigadier General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu, the Director General of NYSC, confirmed that the adjustment is scheduled to begin as planned.

Hosted at the Wuse and Garki NYSC Zonal Offices in Abuja, the gathering addressed any concerns about the delay in implementing the stipend increase. Brigadier General Nafiu assured attendees of the NYSC’s and Federal Government’s dedication to the well-being of Corps Members.

“Starting in March, your monthly allowance will be Seventy-Seven Thousand Naira. NYSC prides itself on effective record management, and I guarantee your payments will be processed. The nation and the Scheme value your service,” he asserted.

He urged Corps Members to stay patient and dedicated to their duties. Brigadier General Nafiu commended the foresight of NYSC’s founders and called for ongoing support from all stakeholders.

He emphasized the NYSC’s integral role in fostering national unity and imparting values such as patriotism and collaboration. Brigadier General Nafiu thanked Corps Members for their commitment and reiterated the nation’s gratitude for their efforts.

Corps Member Zaka Deborah Alheri, identified by call number FC/24A/5831, represented her peers at the Garki Zone in expressing appreciation to the Director General for his work in ensuring the payment increase will be realized.
