Nursery teacher accused assault: A preschool teacher was charged with r@ping an alleged three-year old child in a horrifying attack.
Sarah Hazledine, 48, allegedly r@ped a toddler in August 2024 when she was working as a daycare teacher in Spearfish in South Dakota.
She was charged with first degree r@pe and sexual contact of a child under 16 years of age.
Court documents state that both charges relate to the same incident. She was arrested and indicted on March 20 by a Lawrence County Grand Jury. In her grand jury indictment, she is accused of “s3xually piercing a child” on August 20, 2024.
Nursery teacher accused assault: Hazledine was confirmed to be employed by a Spearfish daycare center. A woman who claims she has been friends with Hazledine since the 1980s said she is a friend of Hazledine’s for over 30 years. The woman who claimed to have been friends with Hazledine over the years claims that the allegations made against the nursery teacher were false.
She said that in less than 24 hour, dozens of witnesses had provided their contact information and names to testify about Hazledine.
Hazledine’s first court appearance has been scheduled for April 28. She would be facing a minimum of 15 years for first-degree r@pe if convicted.
