New US military aircraft: On Friday, March 21, at the Oval Office, U.S. President Donald Trump announced the production of the country’s latest breakthrough in air power.
Trump stated that under his directive, the U.S. Air Force is developing “the world’s first sixth-generation fighter jet” in collaboration with Boeing.
He further revealed that the aircraft would be named the F-47, symbolizing his position as America’s 47th president.
Speaking at a briefing alongside Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Trump declared, “Nothing in the world even comes close to it.”
Describing the F-47 as “the most advanced, most capable, and most lethal aircraft ever built,” he emphasized that it is “virtually unseeable.”

According to Trump, an experimental version of the fighter jet has been in secret test flights for nearly five years and “massively outperforms the capabilities of any other nation.”
He asserted that America’s adversaries “will never see it coming,” adding, “Hopefully, we won’t have to use it. But if we do, they won’t know what hit them.”
However, Trump declined to disclose the aircraft’s cost, stating that doing so would reveal its scale and technological specifications.
He also mentioned that some allied nations had expressed interest in purchasing the fighter jet but clarified that the full version would not be sold to any country.

“We’ll consider toning them down by about 10 percent, which makes sense because one day, they may not be our allies,” Trump remarked.
Defense Secretary Hegseth added, “We’ve had the F-15, the F-16, the F-18, the F-22, the F-25, and now we have the F-47.”
He emphasized that the F-47 sends “a clear message to our allies that we are here to stay and to our enemies that we will project power across the globe, unimpeded, for generations to come.”
