Jessica Aber was found dead at her Alexandria, Virginia home on Saturday, 23rd March.
While the Alexandria Police Department is investigating her death, the Chief Medical Examiner of Virginia has yet to determine the cause and manner of death. She was appointed US Attorney of the Eastern District of Virginia in 2021 by President Joe Biden.
She headed the department for about three years before resigning this January when President Trump started his second term.
In a statement released on Saturday, Erik Siebert (the current US Attorney in the Eastern District of Virginia) said, “We are devastated beyond words by the news of Jessica Aber’s passing.”
