Armed gunmen, suspected to be kidnappers, launched a deadly attack on a pharmacy in Agyaragu, Jenkwe development area, Obi LGA of Nasarawa state. The incident occurred on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at approximately 8:44 pm.
The gunmen stormed ‘Emmy Gold Pharmacy Nigeria Limited,’ firing shots indiscriminately and killing a young woman. They then abducted the pharmacy owner and two sales boys, taking them to an unknown location.
A stray bullet also claimed the life of a young man from the Gidiye community. Eyewitnesses reported that the attack lasted about an hour without any intervention from security forces.
A local source described the scene, saying, “The gunmen were heavily armed, and their shooting sent everyone running. They forced the pharmacy owner and two staff members into the bush.” The source added that community youths attempted to confront the attackers but were met with intense gunfire.
