Gunmen have kidnapped seven people, including a relative of Bishop Hassan Kukah, in Kaduna state.

Gunmen have reportedly kidnapped seven people, including women and children, in Anchuna village, Ikulu Chiefdom, Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The attack occurred late Wednesday night, March 5, when armed assailants stormed the community in large numbers, firing gunshots before seizing their victims.

A local resident, Samuel Kukah—who is related to prominent cleric Bishop Hassan Kukah—confirmed the incident to *Daily Trust*. He revealed that his younger brother, Ishaya Kukah, was among those taken.

“My brother, Ishaya, was the only male among those abducted; the rest are women and children. The attackers struck around 11 p.m.,” Kukah said.

He added that the kidnappers have not yet made contact or demanded a ransom.

“We are praying for their safety while waiting for any call,” he said, urging security agencies to take swift action to ensure the victims’ safe return. He emphasized that most of those abducted are vulnerable individuals who need urgent rescue.
