Fuel Tanker Explodes Under Otedola Bridge in Lagos State This Evening, March 11
A 30-tonne DAF Gas Truck, with an unknown registration number, exploded under the Otedola Bridge along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway after an accident earlier this evening, March 11.
The explosion resulted in massive fireballs that spread rapidly, engulfing a Redeemed Church located nearby, an adjoining bungalow, and four vehicles of different brands. The flames also affected mechanic parks in the area before emergency responders intervened.
As of now, no casualties have been recorded.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has confirmed that efforts are ongoing to fully extinguish the fire and manage the situation.
