FRSC enforces road safety: The Ondo state command of the Federal Road Safety Corps says that it will impounded any articulated vehicles seen in the state carrying animals and passengers.
Dr Samuel Ibitoye of the state FRSC sector, told journalists this on March 26 after a meeting in Akure with members of Ondo State House of Assembly. He stated that the state will address all issues relating to articulated vehicles.
He stated that the command was actively pursuing enforcement against drivers of articulated vehicle. Dr. Ibitoye added: “We are addressing’mixed-loading’, which is the mixing of goods and animals/humans.
FRSC enforces road safety: “We will not take it for granted. We will arrest and impounded vehicles caught in this act.
“We work with all stakeholders to ensure that drivers are warned and stop the practice.
When crashes happen, you may think it is just the driver and his motor boy, but you’ll be surprised to see that there are over ten people in the vehicle with cows.
“We are going to be doing advocacy and enforcement. Anyone who is caught, his vehicle will be impounded and he will receive a sanction.”
