Former Rivers state leaders: In an official statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary of Governor Fubara Nelson Chukwudi the chairmen prayed also for divine intervention to resolve the political crisis in the state.

This is a crucial time for the people of Rivers to remain united and follow the law to prevent their adversaries from taking advantage of this situation.

President Bola Tinubu suspended Governor Fubara, his deputy Ngozi Nma Odu, and all elected members of Rivers State House of Assembly after he declared an emergency state of six months in the state.

Tinubu appointed retired Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas as the sole administrator of Rivers State to manage the administrative affairs of that state during the six-month suspension period.
