Cristiano Ronaldo opens up about the reason behind not tying the knot with his long-term partner, Georgina Rodríguez

Superstar athlete Cristiano Ronaldo has opened up about why he hasn’t yet tied the knot with his longtime partner Georgina Rodríguez, despite their enduring nine-year relationship. The football icon and the influential social media figure have been together since 2016, sharing their lives and two beautiful daughters, Alana Martina and Bella Esmeralda. Rodríguez also embraces the role of stepmother to Ronaldo’s other children: Cristiano Jr., and twins, Eva and Mateo.

Despite their deep bond and expanding family, the pair has yet to make their relationship official through marriage, which has sparked intrigued whispers among their fan base.

In the premiere of the Netflix docuseries “I Am Georgina,” the couple opens up about their potential wedding plans. Georgina, a successful model and businesswoman, shared, “My loved ones often tease me about the wedding. They keep asking, ‘When is the wedding?’ Ever since Jennifer Lopez released her song ‘The Ring or When,’ they’ve been singing it to me. But ultimately, it’s not my decision.”

Ronaldo, a five-time Ballon d’Or laureate, added, “I always tell her that we’ll marry when we get that click, like everything else in our lives, and she knows what I mean. It could be next year, in six months, or maybe just a month from now. I’m 1000% certain it will happen.”

Adding fuel to the speculation fire, Ronaldo, during his Globe Soccer Awards speech in Dubai, referred to Rodríguez as his “wife,” which sent media outlets buzzing with rumors of a possible secret marriage.
