boyfriend stabbed girlfriend to death: South African Police Arrest 55-Year-Old Isaac Moeketsi Manonye for Alleged Murder of 28-Year-Old Girlfriend, Sarah Ndini, in Seshego, Polokwane.

Manonye appeared briefly in the Seshego Magistrates’ Court on Friday, March 7, 2025, where he abandoned his bail application.

The incident occurred on March 5, 2025, when Ndini was at her home with a witness.

The witness, who remained at the gate, heard a noise from inside the house and alerted community members for assistance.

Upon entering, they found Ndini with multiple stab wounds.

Manonye emerged from the house with bloodstains,

and the community rushed Ndini to Seshego Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.

Police responded to the call and arrested Manonye at the scene. As a result, the suspect was taken into custody immediately. But the case is far from over, and the court has postponed it to April 25, 2025, to allow for further investigations. So, authorities are holding the accused in custody until the case resumes. And because the investigation is ongoing, the police are continuing to gather evidence to build a strong case against Manonye.

The ANC Women’s League (ANCWL) in the Peter Mokaba Region has strongly condemned

the m*rder, calling for justice and urging law enforcement to act swiftly.

In a statement, the ANCWL expressed outrage over the “senseless” killing and emphasized the need to address gender-based violence (GBV) in society.

They extended condolences to Ndini’s family and called for collective action to protect women and ensure their safety.

The African National Congress Women’s League (ANCWL) also urged anyone with information about the suspect to assist law enforcement, stating, “Enough is enough! Justice for Sarah Ndridi!” And in doing so, the organization emphasized its commitment to seeing justice served. But the ANCWL’s call to action went further, as they demanded swift action from the authorities. So, the league’s statement served as a rallying cry for the community to come together and support the cause.

The case highlights the ongoing issue of femicide and GBV in South Africa, sparking renewed calls for societal and governmental action to combat such crimes.
