Abductor arrested after receiving ransomAbductor arrested after receiving ransom: The Delta State Police Command has successfully apprehended a kidnap suspect following the collection of a ransom for the release of his female victim.
According to SP Bright Edafe, the command’s spokesperson, the accused, known as Abdulahi Isah, was captured in a wooded area five days post-abduction of a woman from the Ibusa community located in Oshimili North Local Government Area.
On March 12, 2025, around 11:00 am, a local resident of Ibusa reported to the police that his friend’s wife had been kidnapped on March 7, 2025. The report mentioned a ransom had been paid, which he personally delivered, along with food supplies, to the kidnappers.

With this critical information, the Ibusa Police Station’s DPO promptly organized a patrol team, also including local vigilantes, which resulted in Abdullahi Isah’s arrest in the bush. Currently, the suspect remains in custody, with the investigation still underway.
